Methenolone was first developed in the 1960s. In 1962, a pharmaceutical company, by the name of Squibb, introduced it to the United States. Oral Primobolan was sold for a short while under the name Nibal, in 20mgs tablets. Eventually, Schering was granted rights to the drug, and released it under the well known name of Primobolan.
Methenolone acetate is the oral form of Primobolan. Oral Primobolan Tablets are quite popular for bodybuilders who can get their hands on them. Most oral anabolic steroids are 17 alpha alkylated, but Primobolan tablets are not. What does this mean? This means that Primobolan tabs are not toxic to the live like other 17AA steroids, such as, Winstrol and Dianabol. However, Primobolan tablets are also not as potent as the injectable form. A higher, daily oral Primobolan dosage is required to see sufficient results. Common Primobolan dosage for oral Primo is 100-200mgs per day, but some experienced users will take up to 300mgs per day. For women, a daily Primobolan dosage of 10-30mgs per day will yield very good results. Women should not go any higher than this dose, as it may cause irreversible virilization problems.
Another change in the chemical structure allows Primobolan tablets to be fairly resistant to liver deactivation. Its known as unsaturation in the 1 position. The change allows the steroid to resist metabolic deactivation by significantly shifting the 17 Keto redox towards creation of active 17 beta hydroxyl steroid.
